Picture of Artist Kim Wagner Nolan
Kim Wagner Nolan is a multidisciplinary artist and Museum Exhibition Designer with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design. While attending RISD, she began working as an Exhibit Developer for the Providence Children's Museum. It was there that she combined her passions for art and science and discovered a love for creating engaging interactive exhibits.

Since then, she has had a successful career working for many notable institutions such as the Long Island Children's Museum, Macy's, New York Hall of Science, African American Museum and the Wildlife Conservation Society designing exhibits for the Bronx Zoo, Queens Zoo, New York Aquarium, Central Park Zoo and Prospect Park Zoo. Her role as Project Manager for an international design and engineering firm led her to travel all over the world (twice!), which she's chronicled in Museum Trekker, a travel blog about museums she's visited around the globe.

She has taught art to all grade levels from Pre-K through graduate school, lecturing at Nassau Community College and Fashion Institute of Technology. Her broad expanse of work, ranging from illustration, painting, graphic design, photography and exhibition design, is published in several books and magazines and displayed in museums, galleries, libraries, and both private and corporate collections worldwide.

Kim grew up in New York and has lived and worked in Rhode Island, Hawaii, and New Zealand. She currently lives in Florida with her husband and pet chickens. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, playing with her ukulele group, and paddle boarding as much as possible.
